23 June 20 - How to throw a fun (socially distanced) birthday party

At first this may sound like an impossible task, but it’s not! You can still throw the perfect birthday party for yourself or your children and socially distance at the same time to ensure the health and safety of others, continue reading to find out how!

Firstly, what are the current restrictions?

At the time of writing, the Government has begun to introduce new measures which allow for more people to come together, as long as individuals continue social distancing. This might be much harder for children but there are ways in which you can achieve this.

Groups of six people, which also include children, are currently allowed to meet up in a social space such as a public park or private garden. As this is limited to 6 people it may be difficult for parents to leave their children or for children to have to pick certain friends to invite.

Another issue is preventing other households from using your facilities whilst visiting. Going to the toilet for example, is allowed but is advised to be avoided so people don’t touch other surfaces around the house. If you feel this would be a concern by inviting other children over, you may need to re-consider inviting friends over at all.

What are we doing to help you create a safe party?

We know lockdown has been tough for everyone, especially children who may not understand or who are struggling to stay stimulated whilst being at home.

To ensure you can still have a fun time and plan a party for your children, we’re offering our basic hires with a few selected bouncy castles and inflatable’s but with certain requirements to ensure the safety of others.

Our Covid-19 rules include only allowing hires for household members only, this can be tricky if you want to invite other households over. However if you do choose to hire one of our bouncy castles, you can rest assured it will be set up safely by one of our team members who will answer any questions you have regarding our service.

Outside Parties

Naturally during the current circumstances, planning a party outside is going to help to prevent surfaces and objects within your house from possibly being contaminated and if the weather turns out to be a bright sunny day, why not party in the garden!

If you’re just sticking with the people and children within your household, then hiring a bouncy castle for the day is a no-brainer. They’re easy to set up, come in a range of different themes and sizes to suit your needs and party décor.

If you’ve decided to invite close family over to also enjoy the day, planning some fun garden games or garden crafts can be done by giving each child their own crafting equipment, allowing them to still be creative and have fun whilst staying safe.

Get your child excited by planning the party

To make the occasion even more special, preparing invitations that can be sent out to guests is a fun way of getting creative with your child, almost as a pre-party where you can discuss who is coming.

You party invitations could be free downloadable’s, such as the selection we have available or you could even create a virtual invitation to send out to emails or Whatsapp groups if you want to avoid sending out paper materials.

Book your socially distanced party today!

We appreciate the limitations of many households right now but we don’t want that to stop you and your family from having a good time. Whether you want to plan in advance or just want to party with your household, we have a range of party equipment hires available for children and adults.
